Where you can play Sugar Rush legally
Gambling in Canada is regulated province by province, so the right place to play depends on where you live. Ontario and Alberta license private operators; the other provinces run their own platforms. Open the lobby of a legal operator and search for “Sugar Rush” — not every site carries every Pragmatic Play title.
| Province | Legal option | Minimum age | Helpline |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ontario | Operators registered with AGCO / iGaming Ontario | 19+ | ConnexOntario 1-866-531-2600 |
| Alberta | AGLC-regulated operators and Play Alberta | 18+ | 1-866-332-2322 |

Check the build before you deposit. Operators can run Sugar Rush at a lower return than 96.50%. Open the game, tap the “i” button and read the RTP line. The RTP page shows where to look.
How to start in three steps
- Pick a licensed operator for your province and open an account. You will be asked to prove your age and identity.
- Deposit in Canadian dollars. Interac e-Transfer is the most common method at Canadian sites. Decide your session budget first.
- Find Sugar Rush in the lobby, set your bet from C$0.20 and spin. If you are new to cluster slots, read how to play Sugar Rush first.
What kind of slot it is
Sugar Rush pays for clusters of five or more matching candies touching side to side or top to bottom. Winning symbols disappear, new ones fall in, and every cell that has paid is marked. A second win on a marked cell starts a multiplier at 2x that doubles with each new win, up to 128x. In free spins those marks stay for the whole round, and that is where the big results come from. The full breakdown of features, the paytable and the downsides is in the Sugar Rush review.
Which version should you open?
There are four games with this name. Sugar Rush 1000 raises the multiplier ceiling to 1,024x, Super Scatter adds an instant prize of up to 50,000x, and Xmas is the original in a winter skin.
What we saw in 500 demo spins
On 13 Oct 2026 we played 500 paid spins of Sugar Rush in the official demo at C$2.00 a spin and logged every result. C$1,000 went in and C$920.70 came back. Roughly one spin in three paid something, and just over half of those wins were smaller than the bet. Free spins arrived once in the whole session and paid 106.8x; without that single round the session would have returned about 71%.
That is one session, not a forecast. It does show the shape of the game: frequent small returns, long flat stretches (our longest was 21 dead spins in a row), and a result that depends heavily on whether a bonus round shows up. The full table, with the same test for Sugar Rush 1000 and Super Scatter, is in the review.
What a session costs
Before choosing a stake, look at what 100 spins put through the game and what the house keeps on average. The right-hand columns show why the RTP build at your casino matters.
| Bet per spin | Wagered in 100 spins | At 96.50% | At 95.50% | At 94.50% |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| C$0.20 | C$20.00 | C$0.70 | C$0.90 | C$1.10 |
| C$0.50 | C$50.00 | C$1.75 | C$2.25 | C$2.75 |
| C$1.00 | C$100.00 | C$3.50 | C$4.50 | C$5.50 |
| C$2.00 | C$200.00 | C$7.00 | C$9.00 | C$11.00 |
| C$5.00 | C$500.00 | C$17.50 | C$22.50 | C$27.50 |
These are long-run averages. A single session of 100 spins can end anywhere from near zero to several times the amount wagered.
Choosing where to play: a short checklist
- Licence first. Find the operator on your provincial regulator's list before you register. A logo in the footer is not proof.
- The game is actually there. Search the lobby for the exact title; some sites carry Sugar Rush 1000 but not the original, or the other way round.
- RTP build. Open the info panel and compare the figure with 96.50%.
- Canadian dollars and Interac. Playing in CAD avoids conversion fees on every deposit and withdrawal.
- Limits you can set yourself. Deposit and loss limits should be available in the account from day one.
- Withdrawal terms. Read the minimum withdrawal and the verification requirements before the first deposit, not after a win.
Sugar Rush in one minute
- Type: video slot with cluster pays and tumbling symbols, no paylines.
- Released: 30 June 2022 by Pragmatic Play.
- What makes it different: cells remember that they paid and multiply later wins on the same cell.
- Where the money is: in free spins, when multipliers stay on the board.
- What it is not: a low-risk game. Volatility is high and the base game is thin.

Questions players ask
Is Sugar Rush a real game?
Yes. Sugar Rush is an online slot released by Pragmatic Play on 30 June 2022. It runs in a browser on desktop and mobile and is offered by licensed online casinos. It is not connected to the film or to any mobile puzzle game with a similar name.
Can I play Sugar Rush for real money in Canada?
Yes, at an operator that is legal in your province: an AGCO-registered site in Ontario, an AGLC-regulated site in Alberta, or the provincial platform elsewhere. Availability of the game differs from lobby to lobby.
What is the minimum bet in Sugar Rush?
The game configuration sets the minimum total bet at C$0.20. The maximum is set by each operator, so check the bet menu at your casino.
Does Sugar Rush have a jackpot?
No progressive jackpot. The game has a fixed win cap of 5,000x the bet; according to the game configuration that cap is reached about once in 2,340,000 spins.
Is there a Sugar Rush casino?
No. Sugar Rush is a game, not an operator. Any site using the name as a casino brand is not run by Pragmatic Play. You play the slot inside a licensed casino's lobby.
How much money do I need to play Sugar Rush?
The minimum bet is C$0.20, so 100 spins cost C$20 in stakes. Because the game is highly volatile, a budget that covers a few hundred spins at your chosen bet gives a more realistic session; never use money you need for something else.
Is Sugar Rush legal in Canada?
The game itself is a certified product offered by licensed operators. What matters legally is the operator: play only on a site authorised in the province where you are located.
